ནཱཊཀཏཏཱལ ཨུན༹ ཨཊིཡཱརཔོལ ནཊིཏཏུ, ནཱན༹ ནཊུབེ
བཱིཊུ ཨཀཏཏེ པུཀུནཏིཊུབཱན༹, མིཀཔ པེརིཏུམ བིརཻཀིན༹རེ༹ན༹;
ཨཱཊཀཙ ཙཱིར མཎིཀ ཀུན༹རེ༹! ཨིཊཻ ཨརཱ༹ ཨན༹པུ ཨུན༹ཀཀུམ ཨེན༹
ཨཱུཊུ ཨཀཏཏེ ནིན༹རུ༹, ཨུརུཀཏ ཏནཏརུལ༹; ཨེམ ཨུཊཻཡཱནེ༹!

I act in this world as if I were in a play with all others.
I hurry to enter moksha.
You are a shining diamond hill.
Give me the grace to love you always
and make my heart melt for you.
O lord, you make me yours. [15]

ཡཱན༹ ཨེཏུམ པིར༹པཔུ ཨཉཙེན༹; ཨིར༹པཔུ ཨཏནུ༹ཀཀུ ཨེན༹ ཀཊབེན༹?
བཱནེ༹ཡུམ པེརི༹ལ བེཎཊེན༹; མཎ ཨཱལ༹བཱན༹ མཏིཏཏུམ ཨིརེན༹;
ཏེན༹ ཨེཡུམ མལརཀ ཀོན༹རཻ༹ཙ ཙིབནེ༹! ཨེམཔེརུམཱན༹! ཨེམ
མཱནེ༹! ཨུན༹ ཨརུལ༹ པེརུ༹མ ནཱལ༹ ཨེན༹རུ༹?' ཨེན༹རེ༹ བརུནཏུབནེ༹.

I am not afraid of being born again,
I am not afraid of death.
Even if someone offers me the sky and the world,
I do not want them.
I will not respect any kings who rule the earth.
O Shiva, my lord, my father,
adorned with a kondrai garland dripping with honey,
my only worry is when will the day come that I get your grace. [16]

བརུནཏུབན༹, ནིན༹ མལརཔ པཱཏམ ཨབཻ ཀཱཎཔཱན༹; ནཱཡ ཨཊིཡེན༹
ཨིརུནཏུ ནལ མལར པུནཻ༹ཡེན༹; ཨེཏཏེན༹ ནཱཏ ཏཥུ༹མཔུ ཨེར༹;
པོརུནཏིཡ པོན༹ ཙིལཻ ཀུནི༹ཏཏཱཡ! ཨརུལ༹ ཨམུཏམ པུརིཡཱཡེལ,
བརུནཏུབན༹ ཨཏ ཏམིཡེན༹; མར༹རུ༹ ཨེན༹ནེ༹ ནཱན༹ ཨཱམ ཨཱརེ༹?

I am worried and long to see your lotus feet.
I am like a dog and have not sprinkled flowers on your feet and worshiped you.
My tongue has not recited your names.
You bent Meru mountain and used it as a bow.
If you do not give your grace of nectar, I will suffer.
I am alone—what else can I do? [17]

ཨཱམ ཨཱརུ༹, ཨུན༹ ཏིརུབཊིཀཀེ ཨཀམ ཀུཥཻ༹ཡེན༹; ཨན༹པུ ཨུརུཀེན༹;
པཱུམཱལཻ པུནཻ༹ནཏུ ཨེཏཏེན༹; པུཀཥ༹ནཏུ ཨུརཻཡེན༹; པུཏཏེལི༹ར
ཀོམཱན༹! ནིན༹ ཏིརུཀཀོཡིལ ཏཱུཀེན༹, མེཥུ༹ཀེན༹, ཀཱུཏཏུ ཨཱཊེན༹,
ཙཱམ ཨཱརེ༹ བིརཻཀིན༹རེ༹ན༹ ཙཏིརཱལེ ཙཱརབཱནེ༹.

My heart does not melt because I have not reached your divine feet.
I have not melted with love for you.
I have not decorated you with flower garlands, praised you and worshiped you.
You are the god of gods.
I have not cleaned and smeared your beautiful temple.
I have not danced there.
I am hurrying to get moksha.
I want to dance and join you. [18]

བཱན༹ ཨཱཀི, མཎ ཨཱཀི, བལི༹ ཨཱཀི, ཨོལི༹ ཨཱཀི,
ཨཱུན༹ ཨཱཀི, ཨུཡིར ཨཱཀི, ཨུཎམཻཡུམ ཨཱཡ, ཨིན༹མཻཡུམ ཨཱཡ,
ཀོན༹ ཨཱཀི, ཡཱན༹, ཨེན༹ཏུ ཨེན༹རུ༹ ཨབརཨབརཻཀ ཀཱུཏཏཱཊཊུ
བཱན༹ ཨཱཀི, ནིན༹རཱ༹ཡཻ ཨེན༹ ཙོལལི བཱཥ༹ཏཏུབནེ༹!

You are the sky.
You are the earth.
You are the wind.
You are the life of all creatures.
You are what is and what is not.
You are the king.
You make everyone think of “me” and “mine.”
You make them act in this world yet you stay above all. [19]

པཱཥ༹ཏཏ པིར༹པཔུ ཨརུ༹ཏཏིཊུབཱན༹, ཡཱནུ༹མ ཨུན༹ནཻ༹པ པརབུབནེ༹.

The gods in the sky praise you and you protect them.
They worship you so that all people will worship them
and they can think they are privileged.
O lord adorned with garlands swarming with bees,
I a dog and your slave.
I worship you so that I will not be born again. [20]

པརབུབཱར ཨིམཻཡོརཀལ༹; པཱཊུབན༹ ནཱལབེཏམ;
ཀུརབུ བཱར ཀུཥ༹ལ མཊབཱལ༹ ཀཱུརུ༹ ཨུཊཻཡཱལ༹, ཨོརུ པཱཀམ;
བིརབུབཱར མེཡ ཨན༹པིན༹ ཨཊིཡཱརཀལ༹, མེན༹མེལ; ཨུན༹
ཨརབུ བཱར ཀཥ༹ལ ཨིཎཻཀལ༹ ཀཱཎཔཱརོ, ཨརིཡཱནེ༹?

The gods in the sky praise you.
The four Vedas sing your praise.
Uma, adorned with kura flowers, shares half of your body.
Your true devotees think of you with love.
Will they see your feet ornamented with sounding anklets?
You are hard to know. [21]

ཨརིཡཱནེ༹ ཡཱབརཀཀུམ! ཨམཔརབཱ! ཨམཔལཏཏུ ཨེམ
པེརིཡཱནེ༹! ཙིརི༹ཡེནཻ༹ ཨཱཊཀོཎཊ པེཡ ཀཥ༹ལཀཱིཥ༹
བིརཻ ཨཱརནཏ མལར ཏཱུབེན༹; བིཡནཏུ ཨལརེ༹ན༹; ནཡནཏུ ཨུརུཀེན༹;
ཏརིཡེན༹; ནཱན༹ ཨཱམ ཨཱརུ༹ ཨེན༹? ཙཱབེན༹; ནཱན༹ ཙཱབེནེ༹!

You are hard for anyone to know.
You dance in the hall in Thillai.
You are the highest.
I am a low one yet you made me yours.
I do not sprinkle flowers on your fragrant feet.
I do not wonder about and cry for you.
My heart does not melt for you.
I just cannot live here, I cannot live here. [22]

བེནི༹ལ བེལ༹ མལརཀ ཀཎཻཀཀུམ, བེལ༹ ནཀཻ, ཙེབ བཱཡ, ཀརིཡ
པཱན༹ལ ཨཱར ཀཎཎིཡརཀཀུམ, པཏཻཏཏུ ཨུརུཀུམ པཱཥ༹ ནེཉཙེ!
ཨཱུན༹ ཨེལཱམ ནིན༹རུ༹ ཨུརུཀ, པུཀུནཏུ ཨཱཎཊཱན༹; ཨིན༹རུ༹ པོཡ
བཱན༹ ཨུལཱ༹ན༹; ཀཱཎཱཡ ནཱི, མཱལཱ༹ བཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡེ.

O heart, you shiver and melt
for the flower arrows shot by Kama, god of spring,
and for women with white teeth, red mouths
and dark eyes like kuvalai flowers.
O heart, the lord melted you and entered you.
He is in the sky, but you do not know it
and just live in this world in vain. [23]

བཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ; བཱཥཱ༹ཏ ནེཉཙམེ! བལ བིནཻ༹པ པཊཊུ
ཨཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ; ཨཱཥཱ༹མལ ཀཱཔཔཱནཻ༹ ཨེཏཏཱཏེ,
ཙཱུཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ ཀེཊུ ཨུན༹ཀཀུ; ཙོལཀིན༹རེ༹ན༹, པལཀཱལུམ;
བཱིཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ ནཱི ཨབལཀ ཀཊལ ཨཱཡ བེལ༹ལ༹ཏཏེ.

O heart, you live on this earth making your bad karma grow,
and you do not praise the lord
who can release you from the results of your bad acts.
I kept on telling you not to live like this,
but again and again you plunge into bad karma
and the flood of its sorrowful ocean. [24]

I act in this world as if I were in a play with all others. I hurry to enter moksha. You are a shining diamond hill. Give me the grace to love you always and make my heart melt for you. O lord, you make me yours. [15]
ཡཱན༹ ཨེཏུམ པིར༹པཔུ ཨཉཙེན༹; ཨིར༹པཔུ ཨཏནུ༹ཀཀུ ཨེན༹ ཀཊབེན༹? བཱནེ༹ཡུམ པེརི༹ལ བེཎཊེན༹; མཎ ཨཱལ༹བཱན༹ མཏིཏཏུམ ཨིརེན༹; ཏེན༹ ཨེཡུམ མལརཀ ཀོན༹རཻ༹ཙ ཙིབནེ༹! ཨེམཔེརུམཱན༹! ཨེམ མཱནེ༹! ཨུན༹ ཨརུལ༹ པེརུ༹མ ནཱལ༹ ཨེན༹རུ༹?' ཨེན༹རེ༹ བརུནཏུབནེ༹.	[ 12 ]
I am not afraid of being born again, I am not afraid of death. Even if someone offers me the sky and the world, I do not want them. I will not respect any kings who rule the earth. O Shiva, my lord, my father, adorned with a kondrai garland dripping with honey, my only worry is when will the day come that I get your grace. [16]
བརུནཏུབན༹, ནིན༹ མལརཔ པཱཏམ ཨབཻ ཀཱཎཔཱན༹; ནཱཡ ཨཊིཡེན༹ ཨིརུནཏུ ནལ མལར པུནཻ༹ཡེན༹; ཨེཏཏེན༹ ནཱཏ ཏཥུ༹མཔུ ཨེར༹; པོརུནཏིཡ པོན༹ ཙིལཻ ཀུནི༹ཏཏཱཡ! ཨརུལ༹ ཨམུཏམ པུརིཡཱཡེལ, བརུནཏུབན༹ ཨཏ ཏམིཡེན༹; མར༹རུ༹ ཨེན༹ནེ༹ ནཱན༹ ཨཱམ ཨཱརེ༹?	[ 13 ]
I am worried and long to see your lotus feet. I am like a dog and have not sprinkled flowers on your feet and worshiped you. My tongue has not recited your names. You bent Meru mountain and used it as a bow. If you do not give your grace of nectar, I will suffer. I am alone—what else can I do? [17]
ཨཱམ ཨཱརུ༹, ཨུན༹ ཏིརུབཊིཀཀེ ཨཀམ ཀུཥཻ༹ཡེན༹; ཨན༹པུ ཨུརུཀེན༹; པཱུམཱལཻ པུནཻ༹ནཏུ ཨེཏཏེན༹; པུཀཥ༹ནཏུ ཨུརཻཡེན༹; པུཏཏེལི༹ར ཀོམཱན༹! ནིན༹ ཏིརུཀཀོཡིལ ཏཱུཀེན༹, མེཥུ༹ཀེན༹, ཀཱུཏཏུ ཨཱཊེན༹, ཙཱམ ཨཱརེ༹ བིརཻཀིན༹རེ༹ན༹ ཙཏིརཱལེ ཙཱརབཱནེ༹.	[ 14 ]
My heart does not melt because I have not reached your divine feet. I have not melted with love for you. I have not decorated you with flower garlands, praised you and worshiped you. You are the god of gods. I have not cleaned and smeared your beautiful temple. I have not danced there. I am hurrying to get moksha. I want to dance and join you. [18]
བཱན༹ ཨཱཀི, མཎ ཨཱཀི, བལི༹ ཨཱཀི, ཨོལི༹ ཨཱཀི, ཨཱུན༹ ཨཱཀི, ཨུཡིར ཨཱཀི, ཨུཎམཻཡུམ ཨཱཡ, ཨིན༹མཻཡུམ ཨཱཡ, ཀོན༹ ཨཱཀི, ཡཱན༹, ཨེན༹ཏུ ཨེན༹རུ༹ ཨབརཨབརཻཀ ཀཱུཏཏཱཊཊུ བཱན༹ ཨཱཀི, ནིན༹རཱ༹ཡཻ ཨེན༹ ཙོལལི བཱཥ༹ཏཏུབནེ༹!	[ 15 ]
You are the sky. You are the earth. You are the wind. You are the life of all creatures. You are what is and what is not. You are the king. You make everyone think of “me” and “mine.” You make them act in this world yet you stay above all. [19]

བཱཥ༹ཏཏུབཏུམ བཱན༹བརཀལ༹ ཏཱམ བཱཥ༹བཱན༹; མན༹མ ནིན༹པཱལ ཏཱཥ༹ཏཏུབཏུམ, ཏཱམ ཨུཡརནཏུ, ཏམམཻ ཨེལལཱམ ཏོཥ༹བེཎཊི; ཙཱུཥ༹ཏཏུ མཏུཀརམ མུརལུམ ཏཱརོཡཻ, ནཱཡ ཨཊིཡེན༹, པཱཥ༹ཏཏ པིར༹པཔུ ཨརུ༹ཏཏིཊུབཱན༹, ཡཱནུ༹མ ཨུན༹ནཻ༹པ པརབུབནེ༹.	[ 16 ]
The gods in the sky praise you and you protect them. They worship you so that all people will worship them and they can think they are privileged. O lord adorned with garlands swarming with bees, I a dog and your slave. I worship you so that I will not be born again. [20]
པརབུབཱར ཨིམཻཡོརཀལ༹; པཱཊུབན༹ ནཱལབེཏམ; ཀུརབུ བཱར ཀུཥ༹ལ མཊབཱལ༹ ཀཱུརུ༹ ཨུཊཻཡཱལ༹, ཨོརུ པཱཀམ; བིརབུབཱར མེཡ ཨན༹པིན༹ ཨཊིཡཱརཀལ༹, མེན༹མེལ; ཨུན༹ ཨརབུ བཱར ཀཥ༹ལ ཨིཎཻཀལ༹ ཀཱཎཔཱརོ, ཨརིཡཱནེ༹?	[ 17 ]
The gods in the sky praise you. The four Vedas sing your praise. Uma, adorned with kura flowers, shares half of your body. Your true devotees think of you with love. Will they see your feet ornamented with sounding anklets? You are hard to know. [21]
ཨརིཡཱནེ༹ ཡཱབརཀཀུམ! ཨམཔརབཱ! ཨམཔལཏཏུ ཨེམ པེརིཡཱནེ༹! ཙིརི༹ཡེནཻ༹ ཨཱཊཀོཎཊ པེཡ ཀཥ༹ལཀཱིཥ༹ བིརཻ ཨཱརནཏ མལར ཏཱུབེན༹; བིཡནཏུ ཨལརེ༹ན༹; ནཡནཏུ ཨུརུཀེན༹; ཏརིཡེན༹; ནཱན༹ ཨཱམ ཨཱརུ༹ ཨེན༹? ཙཱབེན༹; ནཱན༹ ཙཱབེནེ༹!	[ 18 ]
You are hard for anyone to know. You dance in the hall in Thillai. You are the highest. I am a low one yet you made me yours. I do not sprinkle flowers on your fragrant feet. I do not wonder about and cry for you. My heart does not melt for you. I just cannot live here, I cannot live here. [22]
བེནི༹ལ བེལ༹ མལརཀ ཀཎཻཀཀུམ, བེལ༹ ནཀཻ, ཙེབ བཱཡ, ཀརིཡ པཱན༹ལ ཨཱར ཀཎཎིཡརཀཀུམ, པཏཻཏཏུ ཨུརུཀུམ པཱཥ༹ ནེཉཙེ! ཨཱུན༹ ཨེལཱམ ནིན༹རུ༹ ཨུརུཀ, པུཀུནཏུ ཨཱཎཊཱན༹; ཨིན༹རུ༹ པོཡ བཱན༹ ཨུལཱ༹ན༹; ཀཱཎཱཡ ནཱི, མཱལཱ༹ བཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡེ.	[ 19 ]
O heart, you shiver and melt for the flower arrows shot by Kama, god of spring, and for women with white teeth, red mouths and dark eyes like kuvalai flowers. O heart, the lord melted you and entered you. He is in the sky, but you do not know it and just live in this world in vain. [23]
བཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ; བཱཥཱ༹ཏ ནེཉཙམེ! བལ བིནཻ༹པ པཊཊུ ཨཱཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ; ཨཱཥཱ༹མལ ཀཱཔཔཱནཻ༹ ཨེཏཏཱཏེ, ཙཱུཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ ཀེཊུ ཨུན༹ཀཀུ; ཙོལཀིན༹རེ༹ན༹, པལཀཱལུམ; བཱིཥ༹ཀིན༹རཱ༹ཡ ནཱི ཨབལཀ ཀཊལ ཨཱཡ བེལ༹ལ༹ཏཏེ.	[ 20 ]
O heart, you live on this earth making your bad karma grow, and you do not praise the lord who can release you from the results of your bad acts. I kept on telling you not to live like this, but again and again you plunge into bad karma and the flood of its sorrowful ocean. [24]
